Research Projects
Longitudinal Study of Teachers - 1967, 1984 and 2004
Were you involved in a longitudinal study of teachers conducted in 1967 and 1984? Professor Don Anderson from the ANU is keen to contact as many participants as possible with a view to administering a final questionnaire. All secondary studentship holders at Melbourne, Monash and Queensland universities participated in the original survey. The last phase of this project is being funded by the ACE Foundation.
Fostering the Development of Mentally Healthy Children
Directed by Dr Carolyn Mathews, the project follows on from the theme of the 2003 A W Jones Oration. It will survey junior primary and primary schools on a range of issues related to ensuring a positive education climate for children's mental health.
A College committee with representatives from the three education sectors, the Primary Principals Association, school counsellors, child psychologists and health professionals has been set up to guide the research.
