North Harbour / Ku-Ring-Gai Awards

As part of this year’s World Teachers’ Day celebrations the North Harbour and Ku-ring-gai Regions of the Australian College of Educators are seeking to acknowledge the contributions made by educators and support staff across all systems and levels of education.  We will be celebrating this event by presenting a Certificate of Recognition to teachers and other persons within the school community nominated by the schools at an Awards Night scheduled for Wednesday, October 26 at Killarney Heights High School, Starkey Street, Killarney Heights from 6pm.  

In addition to these awards, we will be recognising members of the College of Educators who have 25 and 30 years membership to our Australian College of Educators.  Ms Kim Jackson, Principal, Killarney Heights High School and President of the Ku-ring-gai Region of the College will present these awards. 
 

It is envisaged that the format of the presentation night will be an informal cocktail party type function with finger food and drinks.  The formal presentation of the Certificates of Recognition is to be made by Dr Briony Scott, Principal of Wenona School for Girls, North Sydney.  Dr Scott will make, also, some brief observations at the conclusion of the presentations.  The recipients of the awards and their principals are being invited to the Presentation Night as guests of the College of Educators, but if colleagues and/or family of the recipients wish to attend the function. 

Dr Brony Scott will also present some reflections on the profession of teaching.
