Darling Downs Excellence in Education Awards celebrates the significant contributions educators make to their communities. Not only do they work with their students, teaching them and encouraging them to give of their best  but in many instances, their influence extends beyond classrooms and into the community.

Event Format
The evening will begin with the AGM at 6.00pm followed by drinks at 7.00pm.
Dinner will be served at 7.30pm and after the main meal, a toast will be made to recognise World Teachers’ Day and the amazing work of educators in our region.

Of significant note is the work of the teachers in the Murphy’s Creek and Grantham State Schools. Their resilience and dedication in supporting their communities following the devastating floods earlier this year exemplifies the spirit of the true teacher.

The guest speaker Associate Professor Glenn Finger will then present his address, The Importance of Educators to Inspire and be Inspired in Challenging Times.

Following his address, successful applicants will be announced as recipients of the Excellence in Education Awards.

Dessert will be served, followed by tea, coffee and networking.
