Guest speakers: Dr Geoff Bull & Dr Michèle Anstey - Theme: "Book Safari!"

Former Associate Professors in Education at USQ, Michèle and Geoff have extensive experience in literacy education and children's literature.  In recent years, they have played a significant role in the Literate Futures Project and the rewrite of the Years 1-10 English Syllabus.  They now run Anstey & Bull Consultants in Education and work throughout Australia and New Zealand.  They have published widely and their books are essential reading for teachers and many university literacy education courses throughout Australia as well as overseas.

• Hear Geoff and Michèle's critique of the 2009 Children's Book of the Year finalists - and their views on some that should have been!
