The following awards will be presented:

• Members Awards – Life Membership & 25 years service


• The Alan Laughlin Perpetual Award for leadership in education


• The Ralph Rawlinson Perpetual Award for education of disadvantaged students


• Outstanding Graduates (teaching degrees) from the five universities within the Inner Sydney Region


• World Teachers Day –  Certificates of Excellence

 Mr Tom Alegounarias BEc.Dip Ed.FACE
President, Board of Studies NSW

  
Tom Alegounarias will deliver the keynote presentation. Tom was appointed President of the Board of Studies New South Wales in June 2009. He was previously the founding Chief Executive of the NSW Institute of Teachers and was responsible for developing the Institute’s policy and legislative framework. Mr Alegounarias is the NSW nominee to the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority Board. Previous positions held by Tom include Director of Equity and General Manager of Strategic Policy for NSWDET; Chair and Executive Officer of MCEETYA and co-founder and inaugural chair of the Australian Centre for Equity for Education.
