ACE Ballarat Region: AGM Notice & Dinner

The Annual General Meeting of the Australian College of Educators Ballarat Group will be held at 6pm on Thursday 17 November 2011 at the Barkly, 43-57 Main Road Ballarat. There will be a Two course dinner, beverages at bar prices

The Ballarat ACE Region is pleased to announce we have obtained a very distinguished guest speaker for the November dinner . He is Professor Douglas Hilton, the Director of the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research at the University of Melbourne.

In July 2009 Professor Hilton was appointed the institute's sixth director in its 94-year history

His topic is 'Gender equity, young scientists and the challenges faced by research'

Nominations for Committee positions should be with the Secretary Phil Roberts (phone: 5339 2343 or email: proberts@ncable.net.au by Thursday 10 November. Nominations should be accompanied by a mover and a seconder who are members.

Positions: President, Secretary, Treasurer, five Committee members.
