Professor Stephen Dinham DipEd (Alexander Mackie CAE), BA, MEdAdmin, PhD (UNE), FACE, FACEA, FAIM
Professor Stephen Dinham is Chair of Teacher Education and Director of Learning and Teaching in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, University of Melbourne.
He is a former secondary teacher who has held senior positions at the University of Western Sydney, University of New England, University of Wollongong and the Australian Council for Educational Research.
He is a Past President of the NSW Branch of the Australian College of Educators and chaired the Steering Committee responsible for the NSW Minister for Education and Training and ACE Quality Teaching Awards introduced in 2001 until 2007.
Professor Dinham is a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators, a Fellow of the Australian Council for Educational Administration, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
In 2005 he was awarded the Sir Harold Wyndham Medal by the Australian College of Educators (NSW) in recognition of his contributions to education. In 2006 he was awarded a national Carrick Australian Award for University Teaching - Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. In 2010 he was awarded the Sir James Darling Medal by the Australian College of Educators (Victoria).
