Linking the Early Years Learning Framework to All Early Childhood Years
Over 100 early childhood educators attended the recent Australian College of Educators (WA) event on Linking the Early Years Learning Framework to All Early Childhood Years. All systems and sectors in WA education were represented by a variety of positions including teachers, school leaders, higher education academics and peak body representatives.
A panel of knowledgeable ECE presenters included Jenny Jay (AISWA), Stephanie Jackiewicz (CEOWA) and Rosemary Cahill (DoE). A collection of questions were posed to the panel by Crescentia Anthony (ACE WA Committee Member) investigating the application of the elements of the EYLF including the overarching belonging, becoming and being as well as the underpinning principles. An interactive audience session was held where further questions were collected from the audience and presented to the panel.
This event was enjoyed by many and followed by a collegiate networking session in the lovely courtyard of the Catholic Education Office of WA.
The committee of ACE-WA would like to formally thank the presenters for engaging with ACE members and guests on a very important topic and Catholic Education WA for the use of their venue.
