Richard Aedy, presenter of the ABC Radio National Life Matters program, and presenter of the EdPod podcast is awarded the 2010 Australian College of Educators (NSW) Journalism Award in recognition of his contribution to educational debate in Australia. His interviews on Life Matters regularly focus on educational issues, taking the time to explore different sides of an issue, and to do so in-depth. His disarming questioning style both probes the issues and reveals the motivations of his speakers. Above all his principal focus and that of the production team which supports his work is on quality and equity for all children, in all schools and in all systems.
The Australian College of Educators acknowledges, through this award, Richard Aedy's contribution to educational discussion and debate in New South Wales and throughout Australia.
