Fellowship (FACE)

Fellowship of the Australian College of Educators is one of the highest honours that the College can bestow, and should be seen by College Members and Fellows, and by the wider education community, to be a recognition of outstanding and distinctive contributions to the advancement of education. The College Council awards Fellowships on the recommendation of its National Awards Committee. Nominations must also receive prior consideration by Branch Awards Committees.

The National Awards Committee and the Branch Awards Committees make decisions based on the written evidence placed before them. A Fellowship is a national award and the evidence offered must provide sufficient proof that the person is indeed worthy of this highly prestigious award. It is therefore essential that in preparing nominations, nominators address the criteria set out in these Fellowship Handbook using the Initial Notification Form (Attachment 1), the Advice on Evidence Form (Attachment 3), and the Nomination for Fellowship and Cover Sheet (Attachment 4) provided. The Fellowship Cover Sheet, must be attached to the front of the statement. The Timeline (Attachment 7) for the nomination and the contact list of the State/Territory Awards Committee Chairs (Attachment 5) are also here for you to download. Please start the nomination procedure by reading the Guidelines. All forms completed should be forwarded to the relevant State/Territory Awards Committee before the deadlines.
