The Australian College of Educators (ACE) is a unique national professional association representing educators across all stages and sectors of education.

Following the appointment of a new CEO we have moved our national offices from Canberra to the Melbourne Graduate School of Education at The University of Melbourne.

A vacancy has arisen on the College Board for an experienced director with a strong financial background.  Not for Profit Board knowledge would be advantageous. It is anticipated this Director will head up the Risk & Audit Committee and work closely with the CEO. 
The Board shall meet at least five (5) times per year of which three (3) must be face to face in Melbourne including one (1) with the National Council. The other meetings are by teleconference.
This is a pro-bono position with all related expenses being paid.
Key Selection Criteria:
• Qualifications in Accounting (CPA Preferred)
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Demonstrated strategic planning experience.
• A good understanding of corporate governance, and the role of Director.
• Strong and ethical decision making ability.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relations with high-level stakeholders, government and the community.
• Interest in the education sector.
