Consultation on National Professional Standards

On 6 December 2009, the Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs (MCEECDYA) endorsed stakeholder and public consultation on the draft National Professional Standards for Teachers (Teacher Standards).  This consultation has now closed.

The Australian College of Educators has submitted its response on behalf of members as part of the consultation process on 21 May 2010.  To read the submission click here.

The College has played a significant role in the early work to build professional support for the development of appropriate standards and coordinated a national statement on principles for professional standards in 2003.  Please click here to read this paper.
